我國汽車工業(yè)通過快速發(fā)展，無論技術(shù)含量、制造水平、還是產(chǎn)量都有了較大的提高，但縱覽整個(gè)汽車工業(yè)的綜合實(shí)力，在轎車、大型客車、載重汽車上不能普遍裝備橡膠空氣彈簧。汽車橡膠空氣彈簧是利用橡膠的彈性和空氣壓力獲得綜合吸震、減震、隔震、防噪和緩沖的性能，從而起到承載負(fù)荷的彈性支撐作用。橡膠空氣彈簧作為汽車減震的核心部件，它的性能的好壞直接影響著汽車的舒適性和對公路的破損性。
1.國內(nèi)現(xiàn)狀
目前，我國橡膠空氣彈簧主要側(cè)重于鐵路火車和造紙機(jī)的配套與應(yīng)用，用于汽車上(特別是豪華大客和載重汽車)的橡膠空氣彈簧在國內(nèi)的研究起步較晚。國外的汽車工業(yè)較我國相對發(fā)達(dá)，故其設(shè)備、零部件的配套生產(chǎn)技術(shù)較國內(nèi)也。在歐美等發(fā)達(dá)，空氣彈簧在轎車上的普及率已高達(dá)95%以上。目前國產(chǎn)空氣彈簧由于受種種原因影響，至今還未能普遍推廣。
2.發(fā)展趨勢
橡膠空氣彈簧是當(dāng)今汽車裝備發(fā)展、配套的必然趨勢，特別是在大型客車和載重汽車上尤為突出。傳統(tǒng)的載重汽車一般都采用鋼板彈簧或油氣彈簧作為減震元件，但隨著當(dāng)前世界汽車工業(yè)朝著高速、高性能、舒適、維修方便的方向發(fā)展，鋼板和油氣彈簧已越來越不適應(yīng)其發(fā)展。
